Activities include Individual Programmes, Food Technology, Music Therapy, Sensory Stories,
Light and Dark Room activities, Rebound, Hydrotherapy, P.S.H.E. and Switch work.

Communication skills are supported and encouraged throughout daily routines and experiences. 
Specialists support the students including physiotherapists and speech and language.

Students in P.M.L.D are encouraged to use their available senses and enjoy being a part of a warm and
friendly environment.

Welsh/Opera Workshop

On Monday 11th April we hosted a special musical celebration in our PMLD class. Mark Evans (baritone) and Ros Evans (soprano) came and sang for and working with a range of children from across the school.

They are both professional singers who have worked with the Welsh National Opera and have sung on stages all over the world. This was the first of 3 sessions, all being led by Mark, the intention being to bring different musical instruments and voices each time. There will be a Welsh element to the workshops, illustrating the importance of our heritage and culture.

Mark is no stranger to the specific needs of our children, as he has trained in Touch Therapy at the W.M.C himself.
What a fantastic opportunity for our children to experience opera singers and musicians in their own class room.
