PRACTICE EXPEDITION JUNE 2011 TO GOWER SWANSEA

Duke of Edinburgh candidates swim 2 miles for Ty Hafan!

As part of their voluntary section the DofE candidates decided to raise funds for Ty Hafan children's hospice. The made the choice of swimming a mile at Llantrisant Swimming Pool, but on the day, were so enthusiastic they actually swam 2 MILES!

The event took place on Tuesday 15th February 2011 and they were given a 'swim lane' by the pool for the swim. Instead of swimming, between them, the expected lengths, they managed to do twice as much.

Well done guys and girls, what a splendid achievement. Laughing
