SCHOOL HOUSE RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION

We play an important part in the life of Ysgol Tŷ Coch and we remain open for 38 weeks of the year.  Our aim is to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere where the children feel comfortable and happy.

Our youngsters are encouraged to become as independent as possible and emphasis is given to developing daily living skills.  They take part in many local leisure activities, going out in small groups or even individually but with support.

The overall purpose of this statement is to describe what we as a home are committed to do for the children in our care.  This statement is available to parents/guardians and children who are accommodated within the home.  There is another booklet available “Welcome to School House” which is included in the information pack available for parents/guardians and children associated with Ysgol Tŷ Coch.

At present the residential home caters for boys aged between 11-18 years. Entry into the school house is via the LEA. Children requiring a residential educational placement are placed on the pupils admission list.
