Buarth Y Capel Connections &    News

Buarth y Capel  hosts "BYC Connections"  coffee afternoons once a month to enable parents of students at BYC to meet and support each other, particularly as they consider the "next steps" for their son or daughter.  Meetings are relaxed and informal, there are opportunities to meet with other  professionals  such as  Careers Wales or advice from  the refloxologist who works with the students.

We would be delighted if you would join us for the coffee afternoons,

The dates will be announced.

Reindeer Enterprise

The students from BYC have been making reindeer to sell for Christmas

They have been supported by Emma from Purple Shoots www.purpleshoots.org., who has helped them run the enterprise professionally.  Emma has been selling the reindeer in the Purple Shoots stall in Cardiff Christmas Market.  They have sold like "hot cakes"!

The students are now making reindeer that have been ordered by parents and staff.

Student News

On Friday the 18th November, me, Sam, Calum, Tyler, James, Steve and Dan went to Llantrisant Leisure Centre for our work experience presentation.  This one is from Elite.  Kate was there , because she helped us on work experience.  We did work experince in the library, ASDA Cafe, garden centre and the hotel.

We had our photo taken and we're in the Elite brochure.

I felt nervous and a bit proud.
