At Ysgol Ty Coch, we are proud to be recognised as a MOVE Centre of Excellence and have achieved the MOVE Quality Mark. This recognises the high-quality support and opportunities we provide to help learners develop their independence and physical skills.

The MOVE (Movement Opportunities Via Education) Programme places movement at the heart of learning. It is a practical, activity-based approach that helps learners develop important everyday skills such as sitting, standing, walking and moving independently. Rather than practising these skills in isolation, learners develop them through meaningful activities that are part of their daily school experience.

Being a MOVE Centre of Excellence means that Ysgol Ty Coch delivers the programme to an exceptionally high standard and is recognised as an example of best practice. Our staff work closely with learners, families and therapists to support each pupil in achieving their personal goals, building confidence, increasing independence and helping them take an active part in school life and the wider community.
