Entry into Tŷ Coch is via the Local Authority. Children requiring a special school placement are placed on the Pupil’s Admission List. A multi-disciplinary panel meeting is held by the LA to discuss the needs of each child. The LA advises parents on visiting the special schools. Parents are welcome to make an appointment to visit Tŷ Coch where they will be given a tour of the school and can discuss the needs of their child and what the school has to offer.
If parents decide that they wish their child to have a place at Tŷ Coch then the Authority will make the necessary arrangements if a place is available. All pupils entering Tŷ Coch will have a statement of Special Educational Needs or will have one issued very soon after arrival. For further information on statementing please contact the Access and Inclusion Department at Tŷ Trevithick on 01443 744000 or please click on the link below.
